Tommy (Pete) Lee Knappe, 62, of Denton, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012. He was born on February 17, 1950 in Monroe, Louisiana to Roy Knappe and Kizzie Demoss Knappe.

He was a photographer in the Navy, was a Deputy Sheriff in Athens, OH, and later worked at the Pioneer Casino/Hotel in Laughlin, Nevada.

Pete is survived by his loving and wonderful wife, Jeanette of Denton, TX; Jeanette's loving and supportive family, Cody and her husband Mike, her brothers and sisters in Texas and Wyoming, and her daughter, Michelle and husband in Virginia; his loving older brother, Roy Knappe, Jr. and wife Karen of Parker, CO; nephew, Justin Knappe and wife, Danielle and their son, Jackson of Denver, CO; his uncle, Carl Knappe of Big Spring, TX; his cousins, Carl A. Knappe and wife of Corpus Christi, TX, Sandra Gandy of Raleigh, NC, Perry Daily and wife, Laurie of Cloudcroft, New Mexico, Craig Knappe and wife, Lindsey of San Angelo, TX, and many other cousins in Texas and Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents.
