Obituary

Tommy Wilson Noles, better known as "Dad, Pa, Pawpaw, Uncle Wilson, Wilson and T.W.," passed away on Monday-October 27, 2025 at Pecan Creek Rehabilitation Gainesville, Texas. He was born in Navo, TX on November 28, 1937 to John Asbury Noles and Velma Noles.

He graduated from Denton High School in 1956. After graduating he went to work driving trucks. In his lifetime, he drove for several companies including Mayhard Egg Farm, Whitson Foods, and Cullum Construction. His favorite stories about driving came from the times he drove for Maurice Malone early in his career, where he made several trips from Houston, TX to Fairbanks, AK and when he hauled grain for Tommy Allen Trucking later in his career. In the 1970s he started his own business, Noles Equipment, with his wife Edna.

Tommy enjoyed the farming and ranching lifestyle and will always be remembered for his love of cattle and cattle auctions. Later in his life he travelled many miles to buy and sell cattle. He loved riding through his place on his side-by-side to check the momma cows. He had his cows so spoiled that they would eat cubes right out of his hand.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna, his parents, his son Brent Noles and daughters, Kathy Scott and Deborah Evans. He is survived by daughters Karen Bryant (Jason) and Sandra Noles and son Steve Evans; brothers John Noles (Sandy) and Benny Noles (Melvena); grandchildren Amanda Millican, Bodie Noles, Candice Branch, Kaylie Gipson, Berry Noles, Justin Roberts, Megan Kirby and Samantha Wicklund, along with a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Viewing and visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors from 1:00 PM to 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 2, 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, also at DeBerry's. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bodie Noles, Berry Noles, Brian Noles, Justin Roberts, Billy Ewton and Gene Trinklein.

The family would like to extend our gratitude to Pecan Tree Rehabilitation and Heart to Heart Hospice for the care and kindness shown these last few months.
