Anthony (Tony) Heitz passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas at the age of 66.

He was born in Denton, Texas on February 22, 1957. He attended Denton and Lake Dallas schools while growing up and graduated from Lake Dallas High School. He was an avid fisherman before suffering a debilitating stroke several years ago.

He is survived by two brothers, Don Runions and wife of Denton, Texas and Michael Runions of Troy, Ohio. Nieces, Emilie Runions of Denton, Texas and Lindsay Page and husband of Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Nephews, Mark Runions of Midland, Texas, Daniel Davis and wife of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Robert Moores and wife of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jamie Moores of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Richard Runions of Kilgore, Texas as well as great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Norman and Helen Heitz, two sisters, Sheryl Davis and Marilyn Groves and two brothers, Jimmy Runions and Rick Runions.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Denton, Texas.
