Vera Jean Rasor, 79 of Denton, Texas passed away on November 3, 2023 in Sanger Texas.  She was born February 25th, 1944 in Washington D.C. to Robert Edward and Catherine Elizabeth Smith.

She was a dedicated employee to Safeway and Medical Laboratories where she retired.  Jean moved to Texas with her family in 1970.  She enjoyed being out in the sun, going to the pool and dancing.  As a young teen she attended a dance hall regularly where she met several entertainers.  She loved talking about those days.  Family get togethers brought her so much joy.

She is survived by her two children, Mike Hall and Donna Hall of Denton, Texas and her sister Frances Lyree Damico of Chester, MD.  She was a proud grandmother of 4 grandsons and their families, Tony Adams and Rachel Engle of Lewisville, Tyler & Kelsey Adams of Shady Shores and Ryan Hall of Gainesville, Brad Hall of Kansas and numerous other family members.  She was a great grandmother of 5.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Catherine Smith, her husband Robert Ray Rasor of 32 years, and her son David Hall as well as her siblings Gary Smith, Ada Duron, and her garage sale buddy and sister, Lesleigh Parker.

The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 from 4-6 pm for visitation.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday November 9th 2023 at the Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton Texas.
