Verna Pearl Jernigan 93 of Krum passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at the Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born in Hebron, TX on May 27, 1922 to Oscar Russell Wyatt and Lydia Sargent Wyatt. She attended the Hebron Schools, just east of Lewisville.

She married Lloyd H. Jernigan who preceded her in death in 1996. She was a member of the Plainview Baptist Church of Krum. Verna was retired from Moore Business Forms.

The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Monday night from 6-8:00 p.m. for visitation. Graveside services will be held at the McCurley Cemetery in Lewisville on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Carl Lane officiating.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Anita Jean Boles and husband Don of Weatherford, Linda Kay Standifer and husband Edwin of Krum, 3 sons, Lloyd H. Jernigan Jr. of Sanger, Ronnie Vernon Jernigan and wife Sherrie of Hamlin, Joe Wilson Jernigan and wife Debbie of Krum, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Skipper Jernigan, daughter in law, Winnie Jernigan, a great grandchild Mandy, 6 brothers, Les, Steve, Earl, Jackie, Oscar, Herschel Wyatt and her parents.
