Vernon Reginald Richardson, 91, of Denton passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in Lewisville. He was born August 19, 1923 in Baltimore, Maryland to Harry and Irene Green Richardson. He retired from New York City Police Department as a New York City Transit Officer. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Denton, Texas. A committal service will follow at 2:00 PM at the D.F.W. National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas with military honors.

He is survived by daughters, Sherry Johnson of Lewisville, Paula Richardson of Denton, Maria Richardson of W. Henrietta, NY, Laura Richardson of Denton, Andrea Aduke of Gwynn Oak, MD; sister: Pauline Smallwood of Baltimore, MD and sister-in-law, Dolores Richardson of Philadelphia, PA. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Annette Mooring and brothers, Harry, David and James Richardson and granddaughter, Nicole Renee Johnson.
