Vicky (Vic) Lynn Burkham was born in Dumas, TX to Marvin and Pauline Burkham on October 11, 1948, and entered the gates of heaven on December 10, 2021.

Vic was the youngest of four children and grew up in Stratford, TX where he graduated. He attended Panhandle State University. He was drafted by the US Marine Corp in April 1969 where he served his country in the Vietnam War.

After returning home he worked at a grain elevator in Panhandle, TX and in Stratford, TX as a farmer. In October 1974, he married the love of his life Monica. In 1989 he and his family moved to Denton, TX. There he worked for Waste Management from 1989 to 2005 as a heavy equipment operator. After retirement he enjoyed being with his grandchildren. In 2008, he and his wife moved to Slidell where he continued to retirement enjoying raising his chickens and tractors. He and his wife also enjoyed taking many cruises. His favorite place to visit was Honduras.

Most of all he was the proudest to be a husband, father, and Papa. He was a loving husband for 47 years to Monica Burkham of Slidell, TX. He was the father of three girls: Kalyn Fichter of Amarillo, TX, Autumn Perkins and husband James Perkins of Krum, TX and Brandy Morrow and husband Shane Morrow of Slidell, TX; and one son, Mitchell Burkham of Slidell, TX. He was the Papa to 6 grandchildren: Zachary, Colton, Levi, Steven, Billy, and Makenzie and one great grandson Elijah. He was the uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, two brothers: Bobby Burkham and Jerry Burkham, one sister: Robbie Smith and one grandson, Colton Perkins.

He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed dearly. But as a man of faith, we know that we will see him again.
