Vilma Mary Baine, 87, of Corinth, Texas, passed peacefully at home on January 28, 2026. She was born on July 11, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Louis and Mary Vereb.

Vilma married the love of her life, George Baine, on April 1, 1959, and together they built a life rooted in devotion, faith, and family. Her husband and children meant everything to her, and she dedicated her life to being present for them—never missing a school event, a sporting activity, or a milestone. She worked jobs that allowed her to be there for her children before and after school, always putting her family first.

She was a woman of strong Catholic faith and was devoted to her church throughout her life. In her free time, Vilma enjoyed playing bingo, visiting the casino, and never missing an episode of her favorite show, Days of Our Lives. A proud Pittsburgh native, she was one of the biggest Pittsburgh Steelers fans you could ever meet. Young at heart until her final days, she loved all things Disney—especially Goofy—and kept the spirit of the Grinch alive all year long.

Vilma is survived by her three sons: Chip Baine and wife Amy, Mike Baine and wife Janice, and Steve Baine and wife Kristi; and her daughter, Sharon. She is also survived by her sisters, Marylou and Rita; 13 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Baine; her parents, Louis and Mary Vereb; and her daughter, Debra Jean Mills.

Vilma will be remembered for her unconditional love, unwavering faith, joyful spirit, and the deep devotion she had for her family. Her legacy lives on through the many generations who were blessed to know and love her.
