Virginia Ann Allen, 79, of Sanger, Texas passed away on August 26, 2018 at her home. She was born in Little Elm, Texas on October 21, 1938 to Sam and Mary Mildred (South) Teel. She grew up on a dairy farm where she help her father and mother with the work and learned to ride horses, fish and water ski. Virginia or (Jan) as she was known to her friends and family, graduated from Denton High School in 1956 and married Charlie Jack Allen in 1968. She worked many years for a the Denton school district and had two children Teresa and Darren Allen. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished friend to those who knew her. On August 26th 2018 Jan joined her savior in glory.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Allen of Sanger, daughter, Teresa Allen Olivarez her son-in-law Stevie Olivarez of Denton, her son, Darren Allen and daughter-in-law Lisa Michelle Allen of Ponder, her brother, Sam Teel of Ponder and her grandchildren Kiersten Taylor, Jessica Allen and Justin Lee Allen.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father and brother, Truman Teel.

Graveside services will be held at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Randy Snow officiating.
