It is with great sadness that the family of Virginia Lee McIntire, known as Susie to those closest to her, announce her passing on November 18, 2024. Susie was born on November 20, 1945 in Grayson County to Johnny Lee Miller and Virginia Gertrude Miller.

Susie loved her family and was happiest when they were around. She had quite a sense of humor and loved to joke with people. She loved roller skating and was quite a good dancer on those skates. She loved music and dancing, loved to sing karaoke songs, and loved reading books. She raised her four boys and loved having the grandchildren spend the night so she could visit and eat ice cream with them. She loved the holidays and made the best cornbread dressing.

Susie was a daughter, sister to five brothers and one sister, wife and mother to four boys, a grandmother and great grandmother. She was married to Gary (Mike) Reedy, Sr. until his passing in 1977. She then married Charles (Chuck) McIntire until 1984.

Susie is survived by one brother, Thorton Argo of Graham, OK; her four children: Gary Reedy, Jr (Candace) of Justin, TX, Tony Reedy of Quitman, TX, Jason Reedy (Kelly) of Justin, TX, and Steven McIntire (Emily) of Josephine, TX.
She had eight grandchildren, William Sherman (Dara) of McCormick, SC, Gary Reedy, III of Justin, TX, Jordan LeClair (Alyssa) of Elkland, MO, Conner LeClair (Caroline) of Allen, TX, Kennedy Womack of Justin, TX, Ailissa Reedy of Justin, TX, Logan Reedy (Krystal)  of Sherman, TX, and Bailey Reedy (Harley) of Quitman, TX. Susie had nine great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and friends too numerous to count.

Susie was preceded in death by her Father, Mother, Sister Linda Sprayberry, and Brothers J. C. Miller, Billy Miller, Buddy Miller, and LeRoy Miller.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 22, 2024, starting at 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm at DeBerry Funeral Home, 2025 West University Dr., Denton, TX 76201. A Graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Roselawn Memorial Park, 3801 Roselawn Dr, Denton, TX 76207.
