Virginia Perez was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in Denton, Texas. She was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico on September 7, 1936.

Virginia was the heart of our family. She will always be remembered for her legendary cooking. She poured her heart into every dish; creating not just meals but cherished memories. She loved to sew. She could mend, hem and create anything she wanted.

She had a gift of making everyone feel at home through her warm embrace and meals prepared with love. Above all, she loved her family unconditionally. Her devotion will forever live on in our hearts. Her absence will be deeply felt. We have comfort in knowing her spirit will live through the traditions she taught us, the love she shared and the beautiful memories she left behind.

She is preceded in death by her parents Eduvijes and Julia Reyes and her loving husband Rafael Perez.

Virginia is survived  by her two sons, Rafael and wife Tammy Perez , Edwin and Wife Esther Perez. Grandchildren Enid Perez Cortes (Miguel),
Ralph D. Perez (Andra), Antonio Perez, Gabriella Sevilla, Raphael Perez, Moniqua Perez, Joel Perez, Destiny Melendez (Ernesto), and  Edward J. Perez. Great Grandchildren, Emerald Cruz, Alizé Cortes, Javon Cortes, Brooke Lyke, Hunter Velasquez, Gino Perez, Rico Perez, Mariah Sevilla, Jovany Sevilla , Olivia Sevilla, Oziah Sevilla, Oscar Sevilla Jr. and Arylise Perez. 7 great great grandchildren, Brothers Juan Reyes, Amado Reyes, Armando Reyes, Carmelo Reyes  and Francisco Reyes. Many nieces and nephews, and countless friends that loved her as family.

Visitation will be held at the DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.  Services will begin at 2:00pm with live streaming available. Virginia will be laid to rest with her husband Rafael at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas following the service.
