Virginia Mattie Salmeri, 86, of Denton passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012. She was born on April 18, 1925 in Winnsboro, TX to Daniel Thomas Knight and Millie Carrie Pruitte Knight. She married Sam Salmeri in California on February 13, 1971. She worked as a LVN for 17 years and retired from Hawthorne Community Hospital in Hawthorne, CA. and was also a licensed pilot.
Virginia is survived by her sons, Dennis Wolfe and David Wolfe; sister, Letha Majors; grandchildren, Leanne Wolfe and Ian Wolfe; step daughter, Cheryl Pratt; and step sons, Joseph Salmeri and Frank Salmeri, 7 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam; parents; sister, Mildred Elder; brother, Quentin Knight; and nephew, Lowell Thomas Miller.
