Vivian Ellen Wilkerson went to be with the Lord and her beloved husband Archie Wilkerson, Wednesday, July 19, 2016. Vivian was born December 15, 1929 to Rosella Elder in Wichita, KS and passed away peacefully at home at the age of 86.

She was a very beloved wife, mother and daughter. She will be missed by her family and all that knew her. Vivian had a wonderful sense of humor and a kind, gentle spirit that was apparent the first time you met her. She never met a stranger and could put anyone at ease.

Vivian married Archie at the age of 16 and they traveled the world together along with their four children. They had many wonderful stories, fun time and great memories. They moved to Denton in 1967 to raise their family, after Archie retired from the Navy. Vivian become a LVN once her children were grown up and worked for many years with Dr. Philip Montalbo. She loved the ocean, to garden, cook, play cards and dominos and to be with her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Tim Wilkerson, Vickey Wilkerson, Dana Hathaway and husband Richard, five grandchildren, Brooke Wilkerson, Arik Wilkerson, Arin Wilkerson, Daniel Hathaway, Megan Hathaway Fuentes and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgle Archie Wilkerson, infant daughter, Wendy Kay Wilkerson, mother, Rosella Elder and brother, Jack Harding.

Visitation will be Monday July 25, 2016 from 6-8 P.M at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be Tuesday July 26, 2016 at 10:00 A.M at DeBerry Funeral Directors with burial to follow at 1:15 P.M at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
