Von E. Dickson of Denton passed away on September 21, 2014, at the Atrium Medical Center in Corinth, Texas. Von was a husband, father and the best grandpa in the world.  Although he was in severe pain the last few months of his life, a hug from his grandchildren made him smile.

Von was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on July 22, 1935, to Richard and Media Dickson who preceded him in death.  He leaves behind his wife Treva, who was his high school sweetheart, his daughters, Denise Galubenski of Denton, Lisa Geels and husband Ron of McKinney, grandchildren Chris McKinney and fiancé Brittany Rayney, Heather McKinney and fiancé Chris Conner, David Geels, Mary Campbell and husband Troy, Jennifer Webb and husband Brandon, and five great grandchildren.

His body was prepared for burial by DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas and transported to Oklahoma for the funeral service and burial under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Oklahoma.
Services will be held at Watts Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 25th at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Jonathan Smith presiding.  Burial will be at the Ravia Cemetery, in Ravia, Oklahoma.
