Wade Allen Crowder M.D., 76 of Denton, passed away Monday July 8, 2013 at the Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. He was born January 13, 1937 in Mayfield, KY to Wade Hampton Crowder and Nannie Sue Allen Crowder. Wade graduated from Western Kentucky State University and Vanderbilt Medical School. He married Carol Zerfoss on August 17, 1959 in Shawneetown, IL.

Dr. Crowder was a Retired Full Colonel from the United States Air Force. He served in the Vietnam and Gulf Wars as a Psychiatrist. During his career in the Air Force he worked in the Psychiatry Departments at the Veteran Administration Hospitals in Biloxi, MS and Pensacola, FL.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Dr. Crowder is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol Z. Crowder of Denton, daughters, Elizabeth Crowder and Keith Dean of Dallas, Sarah Katherine Crowder of Denton, son Wade Allen Crowder, Jr. of Dallas, 4 grandchildren, Sarah Adams, Olivia Adams, Alicia Crowder, and Wade Allen Crowder, III (Trey), 3 sisters, Nancy Baker, Dodie Jaggers, and Betty Turner.
