Wallace Nelson Sheppard, Sr., 72, of Fort Worth passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born March 20, 1942 in Olney to Eddie Leon and Annabelle Fitzgerald Sheppard. He married Deborah Ables on December 1, 1985 in Azle. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, was a member of the Church of Christ, Parker County Sheriff Department volunteer. He retired from GTE after 25 years.

Wallace is survived by his wife, Deborah Sheppard of Decatur;
children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and brother, Glenn Sheppard.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
