Obituary
Wanda Gayle Walker, 69, passed away on Saturday, May 18th. She was born on July 29, 1943 to Herman and Lela McKay at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. On April 16, 1965, Wanda married Jerry Wayne Walker here in Denton, Texas. She attended Stephen F. Austin and Cooke County College of Nursing and was a retired Registered Nurse. Wanda was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church.
Visitation will be 6pm to 8pm Tuesday at DeBerry Funeral Directors, with an 11am Graveside Service on Wednesday at Oak Grove Cemetery with the Reverend Liz Moen officiating.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Jerry Wayne Walker of Denton; daughters, Holli Paige Jones, and Eden Elizabeth Chavira, both of Denton; son, Don Christopher Walker of Austin; mother, Lela May McKay of Denton; and a sister, Paula Jean Baker of Denton. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
