Wanda Lee Welch, 80 of Denton passed peacefully in her sleep on September 11, 2020 at Eagle Ridge Alzheimer's Center. She was born on December 3, 1939 to Bonnie & Lloyd Strother in Ft. Worth Texas.

She attended the University of North Texas. She married the love of her life Vernon Welch and was married for 51 years until he passed in 2008. They have two children, Deborah Welch Clark and the late Joe Dale Welch.

They have four grandchildren, Stephen Clark (wife Flor), Stephanie Clark DeLeon (husband Erik), Brandon Clark (wife Carrie) and Michelle Bredberg (husband Blaine).  They have four great-grandchildren: Cody & Tyler Clark, Jaxson Bredburg and Logan DeLeon.

There will be a graveside service at Roselawn Cemetery in Denton TX on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. with Jim Scott officiating. DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton is making arrangements for the service.
