Wendall George Lillard died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends in Aubrey, Texas on December 25th, 2024.  He was born in Denton, Texas on October 10, 1946 to G.T. and Mary Ruth Lillard. He is one of five children, brothers Tony and John, sisters Darlene and Kathy.

Wendall received his calling from the Lord at a young age. He attended Bible College and became a pastor shortly after. Wendall spent most of his pastoring years working with churches that were struggling. In his later years we pastored at Green Valley Community Church with a congregation of people who were married 50-70 years, they were our Golden Years Family. We learned a lot about life long Love and loss of their special person. We pastored there together for 7-8 years.

Since we moved to Our Happy Place he enjoyed working outside on his tractor moving dirt, mowing and working around the pond.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Darlene and Kathy. A memorial service will be held at Faith Tabernacle 1101 Audra Ln, Denton, TX on January 4th, 2025 at 4 pm. Wendall is survived by his wife Donna of 28 years, brothers John and Tony Lillard, son Todd Lillard and wife Aundrea, daughter Keri Johnson and husband Jack, son Shannon Lillard and wife Kimberly, Donna's son Alexander Stamas, collectively 11 grands and 7 greats. He is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as cousins that we tried to connect with as often as possible.

He enjoyed meeting new people. He always wanted to have good neighbors that were great friends. He had that with Peter, John, Justin, Jesse, Erik, Kalan and Rich. You guys made his day stopping in to see what he was up to, if he was out of gas or feeling good, and prayerfully keeping the equipment out of the pond. He was always ready to help if he could.
