Whitney Kull James, 54, of Denton, Texas passed away on October 3, 2023, at her home. She was born in Santa Ana, California on September 10, 1969 to proud parents, Charles and Frances Kull.
Her family moved from California to Detroit, Michigan where she would spend the first few years of her life attending school and enjoying the snow. The family would then move to Texas in the late 70s where Whitney would spend most of her life.
Growing up in Denton, Texas, she discovered her love for fast pitch softball. This would become a large part of her life until her passing. She was fortunate enough to have teammates that became lifelong friends. If she was not on the diamond, she could be found playing catch with herself by throwing the ball against the house until her dad would finally tell her to stop. She attended Denton high school, 1987 graduate.
In her adult life, she started her career as administrative assistant in different places. She worked in the private and public sector, she was employed by Texas A&M University. Texas Youth Commission, where she was an employee of the year. She was also employed at Denton State School.
Whitney was a loving mom to two daughters and a son before giving birth to her son and daughter who are her pride and joy.
She is survived by her mother, Frances Kull, brothers, Charles Kull, Erik Kull and Ian Kull, husband, Luke James, daughters, Brayden James, Teddi Lee, Heidi Najera, sons, Coleman James and his wife, Mckayla, Cody Fain and his wife, Mandie, grandchildren, Colson, Cal, Briggs, Cameron, Cody Jr. ,Trenton, Inara, Caleb, Mateo, Mariana.
