William Patrick Beaton, 82, of Denton, TX passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014. He was born September 16, 1932 in Boston, MA to Albert and Annie MacEachen Beaton, the fifth of six children. Bill, as he was called, attended Boston Latin High School, served in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Marine Corps as 1st Lieutenant during the Korean War. A graduate of Boston College and an avid reader, he held a life-long passion for politics, religion and other intellectual topics.

He married Kathleen Anne Cashman on July 4, 1964 and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. For most of their married life they resided in Connecticut where they raised their four children. A first-rate negotiator, Bill worked as a labor relations specialist for several U.S. corporations. Bill was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church in 1998 and served in many churches in New Mexico.

A memorial service will be held on January 16, 2015 at The Immacualta in San Diego, CA. His ashes will be interned at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA that afternoon.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Beaton and his four children: Sarah Beaton Williams of Arlington, VA, Rachelle Beaton Loconte of Double Oak, TX, Deirdre Beaton La Placa of LaVerne, CA and Alexander Beaton of San Diego, CA, along with seven grandchildren and four siblings.
