William "Bill" Seymour, 75, of Denton, Texas passed away on February 1, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born in Fairbury, Nebraska on September 14, 1950.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was best known in Denton for picking up scrap metal, since the 1980's. Bill was well-known all-around Denton as a person that would help anybody that needed help. Bill was a strong believer in his faith in God and a strong Christian man.
Bill is survived by his sons, Tim Seymour and his wife Naomi, of Denton, Tx., and Roy Seymour and his wife Christine, of Gordonville, Tx. Daughter Joy Lynn Seymour along with stepsons Mike Dobler of Denton Tx., John Dobler and his wife Kimberly, of Brandon Fl., James Dobler of Denton Tx., Lee Dobler and his wife Brandie of Denton Tx., Sister in-law Joyce Bales. Grandchildren Taylor, Brooke, Emma, & Tim Seymour, Brittany Chank, April Seymour, Ame (Cheyene) Atherton, Jessica Dobler, Johnathan Dobler, Jordan Dobler, George & Emma Dobler, Chanelle Dobler, Zoe Dobler, & Rachel Tamborini, Great Grandchildren Cooper Chee, Victoria, Noah, Hailey, & Makayla Dobler, Olivia, Aiden, & Ella Dobler Bristol & Erin Dobler, Ryan Dobler, Koda Hundley
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Overhalser and father Johnie Groathouse. Also, Brother Larry Bales
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6, 2026. Internment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, in Denton, Texas.
