William Presley Carpenter, Jr., 68, of Argyle, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in Coppell. He was born June 29, 1946 in Denton to William Presley Carpenter, Sr. and Oleta Reed Carpenter. He graduated from Denton High School in 1964. He married Jackie Greener on August 13, 1966 in Lewisville. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Argyle, NRA life member, former President of the Printers Union at Moore Business Forms, avid hunter, fisherman and loved his place in Colorado. He retired from Tetra Pak in 2008. After his retirement, he was diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Graham-Argyle Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Carpenter, Pearson Carpenter, Justin Carpenter, Dakota Carpenter, Kenny Boynton, Danny Boynton and Beau Boynton. Honorary pallbearers will be R.L. Johnson, David Hammonds, Bobby Sam Malone, Tommy Stewart, Charlie Gaines, and Brian Morris.
Bill is survived by his wife Jackie of Argyle; sons, Brent Carpenter and wife Courtney of Argyle, Eric Carpenter and wife Mickey of Decatur; grandchildren, Justin and Dakota Carpenter, Annelise and Pearson Carpenter; sister, Glenda Dial of Denton and numerous nieces and nephews.
