William Herman Cottrell, 75, of Denton, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at his home. He was born on April 15, 1944 in Crossville, Tennessee to Chriss and Claretta Black. William was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He married Diane Prenger in Denton on August 30, 1997.

He is survived by his wife Diane (Prenger) and his children Jessica Botkin (Nic) and grandsons Parker and Logan and his granddaughter Ava. His son Eric Luttmer and several sisters, brother, nephews, nieces and cousins.
