William Leroy Hammons passed away in Denton, Texas on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. He was born in Pilot Point, Texas to Willie and Maudene Hammons on June 21, 1935.   He is preceded in death by his parents.

Leroy was a member of Midway Church of Pilot Point, Texas.  He has been in the Carpenter's Union since 1956 and the Masonic Lodge No 270 of Pilot Point for 65 years.  Leroy's hobbies were woodworking and spending time in Colorado where he enjoyed fishing and visiting with friends.

William is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Hammons of Krugerville; children Bryan & his wife Deanne of Kennedale, TX and Lou Ann Grubbs of Cedar Hill, TX, his brother Tommy Hammons and wife Berniece of Pilot Point, TX,and sister Shirley Arrington and husband David of Pilot Point, TX. Grandchildren Brad Hammons and his wife Carrie of Arlington, TX and Erin Burgdorf and her husband Luke of Joshua, TX; and 4 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at DeBerry Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held the following day on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Midway Church starting at 2:00 PM.
