William Joseph Smith (Bill), 57, of Denton passed away on June 20, 2016 in Denton, Texas. Bill was born on September 26, 1958 in Arlington, Texas to Warren and Frankie (Robertson) Smith.
Bill graduated Sam Houston High School in 1976 and was a painter for Vought aircraft. Bill enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and golfing in his leisure time.
Bill married Torree Lanett LaFevers in Marrietta, Ok on December 20, 2011.
Bill is survived by his wife, Torree Smith of Denton, daughter; Cristy Fritz of Gainesville, Texas, sons; Joshua Smith of Valley View, Joses Smith of Denton, and William Thomas Smith of Hendrix, Ok,and step-daughter, Erica Danielle Atkinson of Lone Grove, OK. Sisters; Sara Howard of Thackerville, Ok.,and Betty Lou Smith of Arlington, Tx. Brothers; Douglas Warren Smith of Arlington, Tx and Robert Wright Smith of Little Rock, Ark. He is also survived by nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both of his parents Warren and Frankie Smith.
A memorial service will be held at St John the Apostle UMC 5450 Mansfield Rd, Arlington, TX 76017 on Saturday, June 25th at 2pm.
