William Hernandez, a beloved member of the Sanger, Texas community, passed away on July 17, 2024, at the age of 51.

Born on February 20, 1973, in Homer, Louisiana, he shared a beautiful 20-year marriage with Melissa, celebrating their anniversary on June 4, 2024. William was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Preceded in death by his parents, he leaves behind his loving wife Melissa, children Ataeya, Tevin, Ryan, Joshua, and Brandon, as well as several cherished grandchildren who will hold his memory dear.

Known for his dedication to family and work, William spent 31 years at the University of North Texas, achieving the role of Lead Technical Supervisor of Fire Safety. Apart from work, he enjoyed traveling, hunting, and treasured moments spent with his loved ones and friends. His presence will be deeply missed.

Funeral services for William will take place at DeBerry Funeral Home on July 26th at 11 AM, followed by a celebration of life at the Sanger Community Center in Sanger, Texas.
