William Allen Luker passed away on June 25, 2012 in Denton, TX. He was born on October 17, 1930 in San Antonio, TX to David and Lydia Luker. William was a graduate of Texas A&M University and then graduated with his Ed. D from North Texas State University. He retired as Dean of School of Community Service at what is now the University of North Texas. He had organized and founded the SCS, and was its first dean.

He is survived by his son Bill Luker, Jr.; a brother Gerald Luker; his only grandson Jacob Carlos Luker-Sparks and hundreds of nieces, nephews, friends, and former students.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 10AM at Roselawn Memorial Park.
