William Dayton Meador, 84, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015, in Dallas. He was born June 14, 1931 in Argyle, to Robert Leonard and Annie Vaughn Meador. He married Delores Ann Owens in Denton. She preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, was owner of Meador Refrigeration and a member of Forestburg Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2015, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Rev. Bill Kimblery of Forestburg Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton, Texas. Pallbearers will be Brian Owen, Keith Owen, Brandon Meador, Ryan Meador, Ronnie Meador and Scott Lawrence.
He is survived by his daughter, DeAnn Owen and husband, Tom of Coppell; sons, Dale Meador and wife Jacki of Denton, David William Meador and Holley Caley of Decatur; sister, Juanita Baker of San Antonio; brother, Vaughn Wayne Meador of Denton; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
