William P. Hackett, 88, of Trophy Club, Texas passed away on November 12, 2015 in Denton, Texas. Bill was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to William and Janet (McNulty) Hackett on January 29, 1927. Bill served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a third degree Master Mason and a Shriner from Chicago's Medinah Temple.
Mr. Hackett is survived by his wife, Barbara Hackett of Trophy Club, Texas; daughters, Patricia Hackett and her husband Joseph McKinney, Peggy McDermott and her husband, Gregory McDermott, Pamela Hobson and her husband Robert Hobson, Step daughters; Kimberly Hughes-Frazer Kelli Hughes, step son, William Hughes and one sister, Marijane Weeks.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Darrin Frazer, Patrick McKinney and wife Mary McKinney. Margaret McKinney Shlimbaum and husband Gus Shlimbaum, Diane McDermott and her husband Michael Schiavo. Gregory McDermott and fiancé Allison Rice. Megan McDermott and husband Brian Rubik. Kelly McDermott and her husband Ty Williams. Thomas Hobson and Leslie Caiola and Michael Hobson.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Jane and William Hackett.
A committal service will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 3:00 P.M.
