Bill was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to C.C. and Opal Allen.  William Randolph Allen is his full name.  He was called Billy through school, and played football in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated High School in Wichita Falls, and played football at Baylor University and graduated with a Business Degree.

Bill moved to Amarillo, where he worked for Southwestern Investment Company, met and married Kathryn Lee Bennett, and subsequently moved to Denton where he began working as a loan officer for the then Denton County National Bank.

They had one son, Craig Warner Allen, born in Denton, who went to High School in Denton, and then attended St. Mary's University in Austin, Texas.

Bill liked to play golf, fish, boat, and spent long hours volunteering and working for the North Texas State Fair, of which he was the President one year.

He is survived by his son, Craig Warner Allen of Denton, and brother Don Allen of Amarillo, Tx.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Dr. Jeff Williams officiating.
