William "Bill" Robert Latham, 73 of Denton passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born October 1, 1938 in Gainesville to James Leo Latham and Sara McClain Latham Dulaney. He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam War, was a member of the Church of Christ and a manager at Wal-Mart. He received his Masters Degree from University of North Texas where he was a basketball player. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing and golf and was a softball coach.

A memorial service will be Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with H.A. Turney, Tom King and Ross Thomson officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

He is survived by his daughters, Leslea Latham of Albuquerque NM, Kelly Latham Quintero and husband Larry of San Antonio; son, B.J. Latham and fiancé, Audre Tilton of Denton; mother: Sara Dulaney of Denton; brother, Larry Latham and wife Helen of Milledgeville GA; grandchildren, Mia Quintero, Carlee Quintero, and Cheyenne Latham.
