Obituary
William Martin Wood passed away on August 1, 2012 in Decatur, TX. He was born on January 21, 1926 to Jeff and Pearl Wood in Wapanucka, OK.
William served in the Army Air Corp as an Airman in WWII. He married Joy Lambert on July 3, 1944. Together they had a son Seth Wood. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone company as a Manager and retired in 1983. He was a member of Southmont Baptist Church and was an avid quail hunter and fisherman.
William is preceded in death by 5 sisters and 1 brother. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Joy Wood; his son Seth Wood; a sister Jorene Reeves.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, 2:00 pm at Southmont Baptist Church. Burial will be Wednesday, August 8, 2012, 2:00 pm at Rose Hill Cemetery in Wapanucka, OK.
