Obituary

The Lord took Wilma Louise Monk home to be with him on May 2, 2021 at her home in Corinth, TX, she was 84. She was born on June 20, 1936 in Leonard, TX to Creed and Una Sadler.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Lee and husband Michael of Corinth, TX,  son Garry Monk and wife Paula of Copper Canyon, TX., daughter-in-law Phyllis Monk of Sanger, TX, Grandchildren Mandy Miller, Cody Monk, Rocky Monk, Kerri Willey, Walter Lee, Austin Monk,  Sonny Gans, Haley DeShazo, thirteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, sisters Mary Jo Brunson, Nell Hoyle, brothers, Bill, Jerry, and James Sadler.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Monk Sr., and son Walter Monk Jr., and three sisters Melva Sass, Margaret Lopez, and Sally King.

Wilma loved her family and Church more than anything else. Before retiring Wilma was a real estate agent and helped run her husband's Paint and Drywall Business for over 50 years. She was loved and will be missed by her family and many friends

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 5-7 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Denton, Texas. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
