Winnifred Darice Watkins, 86, of Corinth, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in Denton, Texas. She was born on September 14, 1931 to Oren and Ethel Lambert in Seattle, Washington. Winnifred married Bill Watkins on May 13, 1955 in Seattle. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Lake Shore Baptist Church in Lake Dallas. Visitation will be held from 11:30 to 12:30 at the church prior to the service.

Winnifred is survived by her husband Bill Watkins of Corinth, Texas, daughter Cheryl Clawson and her husband Robert of Charlotte, North Carolina, son Randall Watkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico, brother Donald Lambert of Washington, grandchildren Zach Watkins, Kaci Payne, Aja Watkins, Ali Watkins, Amy Price, Brian Clawson and six great-grandchildren.
