Wyndell Lamont Cunningham of Rhome, TX died on June 14,
2016 at the age of 79. A Memorial Service will be in July at the
First United Methodist Church, Commerce, TX with Dr. Tommy
Brummet and Rev. David Shawver officiating.
Wyndell Lamont Cunningham was born on April, 23, 1937 in
Texarkana, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar
and Lillian Cunningham of Texarkana, AR. He is survived by his
wife Sarah Gentry Cunningham and two daughters. Natalie Shein
Muskovitz and husband David of Park City UT. Margaret and
husband Bryan Clintsman of Southlake, TX. Three grandchildren;
Sarah Lillian Shein of Salt Lake City, UT; Graham Shein of Park
City, UT and Cody Lowe of Southlake,TX. He had five siblings,
Joe Cunningham, deceased, Grover Cunningham, deceased, Larry
Cunningham, Beth Coats and husband Jeff, Dee Marshall. Many
nephews and nieces and great nieces and nephews.
Lamont was retired from the US Army in 1961. He retired from
Unisys Corporation as a Computer Project Manager in 1992. He
loved gardening and was named the Texas Master Gardener of
Small Gardens in 2008. He was also given the Texas Master
Gardener Emeritus in 2011 from the AgriLife Extension, Texas
A&M System. He served in many positions for the United
Methodist Church over the years. He was a member of the First
United Methodist Church in Decatur TX.
