On November 4, 2016, God called Yvonne Kendrix, 59, back to himself, with her loving family by her side at Denton Regional Medical Center.

The late Florence (Will) Kendrix and Ike Kendrix, Jr. were blessed with their 7 ^th child, Yvonne, on January 4, 1957, at E. A. Conway Memorial Hospital in Monroe, LA.

Yvonne attended Marion High School in Marion, LA and Oakland High School in Oakland, CA, achieving her degree in Web Design from the University of Phoenix. Yvonne worked as a Program Manager for the Food and Nutrition Service with the United States Department of Agriculture before her retirement.

Yvonne dedicated her life to Christ at a young age with Friendship Baptist Church in Litroe, LA. In October 2015, she re-dedicated her life at Antioch Christian Fellowship in Corinth, TX. She was a gifted artistic person with a wealth of knowledge and interests that included reading, knitting, researching genealogy, reciting poetry, travelling, and web design. She genuinely loved her family and friends often expressing her love through thoughtful cards and gifts. Her infectious charm and smile melted the hearts of those who came in contact with her. Her passion for life was epitomized by her fanatical love for the Oakland Raiders.

Yvonne is survived by 6 sisters, Faye Kendrix of Vallejo, CA, Betty Tuggle of Battle Creek, MI, Shirley Morris (Dinell), of Corinth, TX, Brenda Kendrix, of Vallejo, CA, Wanda Kendrix, of Fort Worth, TX, and Angela Kendrix, of Silver Spring, MD; 4 brothers, Jewel Kendrix  (Evor) of Fort Worth, TX, Isaac Kendrix (Mary) of Monroe, LA, Adell Kendrix of Battle Creek, MI, and Andre Kendrix of DeSoto, TX. She was blessed with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family and friends; sharing a special bond with Tamiko Ross (niece), Marcus Kendrix, Sr., (nephew) and Alexis Marie Kendrix (goddaughter).
