Betty Louise Hammons passed away at her home in Little Elm, Texas on Friday, May 5, 2023. She was born in Tyler, Texas on October 30, 1946 to Walter and Iona Schoppe. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, her dogs, and quilting. S he is preceded in death by both her parents, granddaughter Emily Morrison, great-grandson Lucas Chappell, and her husband Doug Hammons.

Visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 5PM to 7PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 10AM, Wednesday, also at DeBerry's. Betty will be laid to rest at Little Elm Cemetery.

Bettye is s urvived by daughters Leah Bartlett, Kimberly Craft, Marie Morrison and spouse Gary, Amey Gallegos and husband Lloyd, William Chappell and spouse Betsy, as well as 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
