Billie Marie Barnett passed away on February 16, 2023 at her home west of Krum. She was born on March 31, 1928 near the  Hood  Community in Cooke County Texas. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents William Perry Hugon and Tessie Finely Hugon, two older sisters, Doris Wilkerson and Mary Ellen (Chig) Marshall.

The Hugon family was displaced during World War ll by the creation of Camp Howze. They eventually settled west of Krum. There Billie met and then married Buddy Barnett on November 16,1946. They were married for sixty one years. He died March 6, 2007. A private burial ceremony for Billie was held on February 20, 2023 at Plainview Cemetery west of Krum. A public Memorial Service will be help at 3 PM on March 18, 2023 at DeBerry funeral home in Denton.

Billie is survived by her son Skip and wife Janice of Ponder, Granddaughter Analie and family Mike and Finch of Atlanta Georgia, Grandson Dan and wife Hillary, of Grapevine Texas. She is also survived by 3 Great Grandsons, Finch of Atlanta, Owen and Conner of Grapevine.
