Obituary

Timmy Chuck Briggs, 65 of Denton, left this world to be with his heavenly father at his home on May 26, 2023. Chuck was born in Denton, TX on December 31, 1957 to Rachel Annabell (Ann) and Oliver Briggs. He attended school in Denton, TX,  Blossom, TX and, Warren, AR.

Chuck worked in construction as a heavy machine operator starting at the age of 17 and worked along with his father, Oliver for many years at Dyna-Ten in Fort Worth. He worked with his Cousin Tommy Jeter at Jeter 3, Jim (Onion) Durrett of Durrett Hauling and RPMX Construction. He was a heavy machine operator until his stroke in 2012.

He enjoyed dancing, fishing, working around the house, welding, building things, sitting on the porch, just enjoying nature, cook outs, pestering the grandkids, and every Fur Baby we've ever had.

Chuck was a proud member of Wise County Cowboy Church in Decatur, TX.

Chuck married Ina Kay Walling on April 20, 1991, and celebrated 32 years. Together they had three children, Nick Briggs, wife Jessica, children Gracie, Tanner and Rex of Groesbeck TX, Josh Briggs, wife Liz of Collinsville, TX, children Jami Briggs of Lake Jackson, TX and Selina Almendarez of Collinsville, TX.  Amanda Fletcher, husband Jeremy and Childred Garrett Jackson, wife Angelli of Denton, TX, William Jackson of Aubrey, TX & Zoie Fletcher of Aubrey, TX. Bonus Daughter, Jeri Cobb and husband Kelly of Caddo Mills, TX,  children Cole Simpkins, wife Melanie and Daughter Joyce, Harley Simpkins, and Justus Simpkins. Sisters Vickie Briggs Beckham, husband Danny of Era, TX, Niece Courtney Yates, husband Nicholas Children Calen and Hadley of Bridgeport, TX,  Brenda Briggs Hunter, husband Bruce of Warren AR. Nephew Jake Hunter, wife Cheryl and son Wyatt Hunter of Bauxite, AR, Brother in Laws Ken Walling of Sadler, TX, Randy Kerr Walling and wife Beth of Traverse City, MI. Aunt Kate Bridges of Denton, TX. Many Cousins, and extremely close lifetime friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Rachel Annabell (Ann) Briggs, brother Tommy Dale Briggs, Grandparents Clifford and Ruby Davis Briggs and James Hollis and Thelma Jane Bell Blackwell.

Chuck made a humanitarian decision many years ago to become a member of the UT Southwestern Willed Body Program, because he knew he had a lot for Doctors and Students to learn from him to help other people.
