Daisy Merle Greer Copp passed away on June 11, 2018. She was born in 1920 in rural Eastland County, Texas to her parents William Henry Greer and Katie Merle Yielding Greer.

She and her three sisters grew up in Vernon, Texas where her father worked for Humble Oil Company. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in business at North Texas State Teachers College, now UNT in 1940. While in college she met her husband Dr. George Copp. They were married for 59 years. Following WWII, she worked at the Texas State Board of Control while George completed his education. After that she was a full time homemaker.

Daisy taught second grade Sunday school at First Baptist Church of Denton and participated in the Denton Garden Club and the Arts and Crafts division of Women's Shakespeare Club of Denton.

At almost 98 years of age she out lived all the family members in her generation on both sides of the family. She is survived by her children Alice Harrington (Tommy), Mark Copp, Betty Lee, grandchildren Jennifer Bow (Randy), Mike Lee (Lauren), step-grandchild Dan Harrington (Lucy) and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Daisy will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Michael Lee, Randy Bow, Richard Sullivan, Ricky Sullivan, Jerry Lunsford and Dennis Erler.
