Della Isbell Davis, 79, passed away on April 9, 2022. She was born to Dalton Harrison Isbell and Ella May Wallace in Krum Texas on August 2, 1942.  She grew up in Krum, Texas and graduated from Krum High School in 1961.

At an early age, Della started collecting Krum pictures, memorabilia, and stories. At age 16 she saved some old glass plates from neighbor, Edison Mounts an early Krum photographer. The pictures from these plates would become some of the most cherished pictures of Krum and the Krum community and are now on display at the Krum Heritage Museum. Della wrote her first book about Krum in 1976 - Krum, Texas The Story of A Small Town which has been reprinted several times. In 2006 she wrote her second book The Heritage Gallery of Krum Texas and in 2011 would coauthor the Arcadia book- Images of America Krum and Krum Families in 2017.

Della opened the first museum in Krum in the 1980's. In later years she became the heart and soul of the Krum Historical Society and the Krum Heritage Museum serving as its historian. She was the primary resource for many of the displays in the museum contributing her pictures, artifacts, and knowledge to many of the exhibits in the museum.  When people needed information about their families Della was the one to ask. She was a library of knowledge about Krum and its families.

Della was preceded in death by her parents Dalton & Ella May Isbell, her brother Buddy, daughter Tracy and sisters Dene and Pam.

Della is survived by her husband Don Davis, daughter Melissa Davis (Billy) Enoch, grandson Toby Goforth (Kathyrn), great grandson Alexander,  sisters Necie Stubblefield and Barbara Rutledge and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 6-8:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Krum Heritage Museum 150 W. McCart St., Krum Texas.
