Obituary

Fabio Ernesto Borda Jr., 48, of Argyle passed into the hands of his Heavenly Father Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth  He was born April 6, 1972, in Bogota, Colombia to Fabio and Aviva Borda.

His childhood in The Colony began his obsessive devotion to friends who would become family. Wearing the #64 under the Friday night lights gave everyone reason to cheer for his love of the game and community.  After graduating The Colony High School, he then attended and graduated Texas A & M University (Gig 'Em!) excelling in his educational pursuits and building more life-long friendships.

Fabio's love story with Sonja Alexis Clafin culminated in their March 14, 2010, marriage.  Fabio was a devoted husband to Sonja.  Fabio was always an adoring father to Fabio Borda III "Trey" (26.) Fabio and Sunny welcomed beloved daughter Kathryn Borda, 4, to complete their family in 2016.

Fabio  and Sunny were active members of  St. Mark Catholic Church.  Fabio served as a Knight of Columbus and enjoyed the friendships created in service with these men of God.

A Memorial Mass will be virtually held by Father George of  St. Mark Catholic Church and live streamed on a private YouTube channel simultaneously on Monday, December 21st at 10:00 AM. Sonja and Kathryn will attend the mass virtually. Click here for the YouTube channel.

Cherishing his life and memory are his wife,  Sonja Borda of Argyle, his son, Trey, his daughter, Kathryn, his parents, Fabio and Aviva Borda, and his sisters Adriana Hackney and Isabel Brody alongside a large extended family both in the United States and Colombia.

To say that Fabio will be missed doesn't begin to capture the void that his absence leaves. He was loved as much as he loved others, which can only be understood by those who were blessed by his enormous capacity to remember old friends, make new ones, and give every bit of himself to every relationship he had. Many people wander through life never realizing the value of others—Fabio charged through his life reminding others of their immense value to him and his Creator. He was larger than life, and even in death, his life's mission is felt by those he leaves to remember.

Memorials may be made to; St Mark's Catholic Church in Argyle Texas.
