Greg Alan Garrett passed away in Denton, Texas on Monday, May 22, 2023. He was born in Denton on January 2, 1952 to Marshal Garrett and Jessica Hooten. Greg enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening, painting, target shooting and a good scotch from time to time.  After retiring from Denton Good Samaritan Village after 24 years of service, Greg spent all his time with family; especially his grandchildren. He was a source of comfort to all who knew him, a gentle and kind spirit that will missed by all who knew him.

Most importantly he lived his life with a strong belief in Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior. His calm demeanor was such a gift when he served in the children's ministry. He will truly be missed by all. From his Wife, Children and Grandchildren: "We love you and thank you for everything you have done for us! You were the best Husband, Pop, Dad, Da and friend anyone would ever need". He is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service  and celebration of life will be held at Denton Bible Church, Friday, June 2nd at 2:00pm.

Greg is survived by his wife Sharon Garrett of Corinth, son Damian Garrett and wife Robin of Claremore, OK; stepdaughters  Alyssa Stewart and  husband Derek of Collinsville, TX; Erica Laney of Denton and 4 grandsons; Zachary Garrett (20),  Ryker Stewart (5), Daxton Stewart (5),  Briggs Stewart (2), and great granddaughter Brier Ren (4 months). Brother Phillip Parsons of Denton, stepfather Bill James, and wife Fran of Corinth  and many extended family members.
