Jency Bernice Cragg Zimmers, born on December 24, 1926, in San Antonio, Texas, left this earth on January 8, 2023, in Flower Mound, Texas. Growing up in South San Antonio, she spent time on her grandparent's farm in Carrizo Springs where her grandfather kept beehives. He nicknamed her Bee, as she was a busy little "bee" and he had to shoo her away from the hives. As a young woman, she loved to sing and dance, and went with friends to the United Service Organization dances, where she met her husband, Don. They married after the war ended, and traveled the west while Don worked as a jazz musician, eventually settling back in San Antonio, and later, Dallas. Bee dedicated herself to working as a homemaker and raising her children. She later attended Richland College in Dallas in support of a new career in office administration. Bee is preceded in death by her father William Peter Cragg, Mother Lucy Berry Cragg, siblings Carrell Jan Cragg, Ruby Lee Cragg King, Wilma Lee Cragg Aylor, Mary Loraine Cragg Casey, William Clyde Cragg, Thomas Richard Cragg, Audry Beth Cragg Holland, and Willie Ruth Cragg, her ex-husband Donald Ellis Zimmers, and their son Forrest William Zimmers. She is survived by her children Sherry Dee Zimmers Clark - spouse Chuck, Lee Ann Zimmers Cameron - spouse Lisa, Laura Beth Zimmers Tinner - spouse John, and Alfred Ellis Zimmers; grandchildren Stacy Lockwood, Jasmine Milberger, Dylan Cameron, Zenas Chellew, Lauren Zimmers, Haley Zimmers; as well as seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bee loved her family more than anything and was devoted to giving of herself to others. She lived the last couple of decades in Denton County, made many friends at her senior community, and was beloved at her nursing home. Mom, we will cherish you always and will miss you every day.
