Karen Elizabeth Barry, 56, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. She was born in England on September 18, 1966 to Edward Henry Barry and Elizabeth Anne Lander. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, TX with the Class of 1985. In 1986, she pursued a career as an auditor with Liberty Mutual Insurance and after years of hard work and dedication, she earned her Bachelor's Degree of Science in Accounting at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX in 2004. In 2008, her plans changed and she went on to become employed with Walmart where she remained for 14 years as a dedicated retail manager.

She lived to put a smile on the faces of those around her. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and always saw the beauty in everything around her. She will always be remembered as funny, kind, loving and generous.

She is survived by her daughter Amanda Gilbert, daughter Mary Trejo, son Jonathan Trejo, brother Edward Barry, brother Kevin Barry, and two grandchildren, Jaxon Gilbert and Laura Gilbert.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, TX.
