Margaret Sims Lambert, 89, of Denton, Texas passed away peacefully on March 7 th , 2023. Margaret was born on January 27 th , 1934, in Groveport, Ohio to William Ernest Sims and Helen Thrush Sims. She would go on to graduate from Canal Winchester High School, in Ohio. She married her husband of 54 years, George Azzlee Lambert, on March 6 th , 1954, in Albany, Georgia. Margaret served as an administrative assistant for the University of North Texas and would go on to retire after serving 23 years. Margaret was also a proud member of the Singing Oaks Church of Christ.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, George Lambert, her parents, Ernest and Helen Sims, siblings Mary Alice Schirm, Bill Sims, and Dorothy Wolfe. She is survived by her children; Mike Lambert (Kim) of Corinth, Texas, Ann Machen (Mark) of Midland, Texas. Grandchildren; Lauren Johnson (Jay) of Corinth, Texas, Ryan Lambert (Renit) of Roanoke, Texas, Patrick Lambert (Caitlin) of Denton, Texas, Carson Machen (Kristin) of Midland, Texas, and Rylee Hargesheimer (Layton) of Midland, Texas.
Great-grandchildren; Jack Johnson, Clementine Johnson, Bear Johnson, Audrey Lambert, Asher Lambert, Ellie Lambert, Abbie Lambert, Chase Machen, Tate Machen, Sage Hargesheimer, Merritt Hargesheimer, Chip Hargesheimer, and one on the way.
A graveside ceremony will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on Monday, March 20 th . Funeral service to be held at DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, Texas at 11 A.M.
