Marvin Lee Jeffries 88 of Denton Texas passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday September 13, 2021. He was born on February 21, 1933, in Guthrie Oklahoma to Leo Brown and Lilias Ryan Jeffries.

After attending Oklahoma University for a few years, he enlisted in the US Navy. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant and was stationed in Keflavik Iceland, where he met his wife of 64 years Gudrun Fjola Jonsdottir.

Marvin was honorably discharged from the US Navy and began a successful 36-year career with American Airlines. Marvin and Fjola settled in Texas with their four children and once retired, they enjoyed traveling extensively. He was an avid sports fan , fisherman and golfer.

Marvin is survived by his wife Fjola , daughter Sharon McGregor of Nocona, Son Keith and his wife Tammy of Corinth and daughters Gail Pierce and Jenifer Bauer both of Denton. They also share four grandchildren Shelby and Colton Pierce and Kyle and Ryan Bauer.
