Mildred Joyce Davis, 79, of Denton, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. She was born June 21, 1940 in Aubrey, Texas to Andrew Thomas and Ethel Mae (Roe) Copeland.

Mildred attended school in Aubrey, Texas and later, was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the company of her family and friends. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She liked to do crafts and antiques with her neighborhood friends. She always enjoyed decorating, cooking and family time for the holidays. She attended church services at Full Gospel in Denton, Texas.

She was preceded by: Husband Franklin D. Davis of Denton, Texas. She is survived by: Daughter Leisa Massingill of Melvern, Kansas, Son Mitchell Davis of Denton, Texas, Granddaughter Jennifer Davis-Watson of Sanger, Texas, Grandson Steven Massingill of Melvern, Kansas, Great Grandson Sam Kirk Jr. of Sanger, Texas, Brother Gene Copeland of Sanger, Texas, and Brother Everett Copeland of Pilot Point, Texas.

There will be a viewing in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors on Saturday, May 23, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. A graveside service will follow at Gribble Springs Cemetery in Sanger, Texas.
