Patricia "Patti" Lee Whiteside Howell was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 23, 2023 in Denton, Texas. Patti joins her mother and sisters in what we can only imagine is a joyous reunion.

Patti was born to Margaret Lee Butler and George David Whiteside in Pottstown, Pennsylvania on March 17, 1936. At the age of 17, Patti met the love of her life, Aora Perry Howell Jr who she married in the Chapel at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1952. "Perry" was in the service at the time,  so Patti embarked on the life of a military wife, and they had 4 children.

She enjoyed spending time with her family doing activities such as camping and crocheting. She was an avid reader loving to spend "quiet time" with our Lord reading from her bible and she loved to sing. Patti spent some time in Arizona caring for her mother until her death in 1999 when she moved back to the Denton area. Patti was blessed with many friends and loved ones, including LaSonya Champion, her friend and caregiver.

Patti was preceded in death by her mother Margaret, and sisters Elizabeth Jean (Betty) and Delores Louise (Dee). She leaves behind her children Patricia Dianna Herron (Trish) and husband Evan, Belinda Perriette (Lin) Shaw and husband Ronnie, Aora Beatrice (AB) Smith and husband Johnny, and Aora Perry Howell Ill and wife Marsha and their families that include 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Patti's life will take place at DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, Texas on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
